Competent, caring, compassionate, empathetic and committed. My name is Miss. Geraldine Chidiebere Uchegbu. I am 29 years old. I am from Umunagbor Amagbor Ihitte Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State Nigeria. I have always had the passion of becoming a child care giver. I have always seen myself taking care of kids and also helping them out in their daily activities. At home, I took care of my young ones by staying with them when my parents are not around, bath and dress them up, get them dressed, prepare their meals, help them out with their homework, take them to their recreational activities etc. Furthermore, at my work place, I was employed to work at the bursary, which I did well at. Aside working at the bursary, I also worked in the school's infirmary where I helped take care of the sick students, helping them to take their medications, feeding, bathing etc. I enjoyed doing this work as it makes me feel fulfilled each time a help or care for a sick person. This same innate passion to become a child care giver and in fact a pro-lifer inspired me to take up the job of a Volunteer Health Care Support Worker with the Sisters of The Needy Community Group Support Centre, Obodo Ahiara as it is equally related to Health care job. Here, for over three years now, I have enjoyed the job I volunteered to do which entails; teaching and taking care of kids and getting familiar with the things they want and like at any given time, get more closer to the children some of whom I also assist in the Health Care Support Centre. I am tasked with writing my lesson notes as well as teaching the pupils literacy, numeracy, design recreational activities for them, organize quizzes and debates for them and take them on all sorts of extra curricular events and activities which I love to do. I feel fulfilled each time I have children around me and my day is made when they are happy around me because keeping them happy is my top priority.
